  As a member of EGOLF, our laboratory is authorised to display the EGOLF logo on our test reports. This quality label reinforces the recognition of our inspection services within the EGOLF network and demonstrates our compliance with the strictest professional standards.
• Harmonised expert knowledge
  Thanks to regular EGOLF training courses, our team benefits from testing procedure knowledge that is harmonised throughout Europe and thus provides you with consistent, reliable, and standards-compliant results.
• Participation in interlaboratory tests
  We actively participate in EGOLF interlaboratory tests to improve the repeatability and reproducibility of our test results. This contributes decisively to quality assurance.

Thanks to contractual agreements with the British Standards Institution (BSI), the inspections and audits carried out by gbd are recognised by the UK-Approved Body BSI, and vice versa.

DIBt approval (German Institute for Building Technology)

We are a DIBt-approved monitoring and certification body in accordance with the German Building Regulations (LBO – Landesbauordnung).

Burglar-resistant products

We are approved by the Bavarian Criminal Police Office (Landeskriminalamt) as a certification body for burglar-resistant products.

Expert activity

Our portfolio also includes activities as sworn court experts and as certified experts in accordance with DIN EN ISO/IEC 17024 for the assessment of windows, doors, and facades made of metal and glass.

Our training and examination centre is approved in accordance with EN ISO 9712 by

Recognition in the USA

gbd Testing | Technology | Training Center is the first testing laboratory in the German-speaking countries to obtain an official Miami-Dade County accreditation in the USA.

This enables our clients to perform officially recognized testing near their design- and engineering teams to the strict criteria of the High Velocity Hurricane Zone (HVHZ) in the southeast of Florida. Additionally, testing performed by gbd enables our clients to obtain statewide Florida Product Approvals (FPA).

In addition, since July 2025, gbd LAB has been listed as a testing laboratory by the National Accreditation & Management Institute (NAMI). This listing confirms our competence in performing tests according to North American standards such as ASTM, AAMA, and NAFS.
